the crave will never be fed.

I have alwasys been an avid reader.  Ever since my little brother was born I would try to read to him, sharing my love for words with him. However, he did not receive that same trait.  He would tear the pages to shreds if my mother would let him.  I have read all the Harry Potter books, all the Series of Unfortunate Events, The Twilights, most Jodi Picolts, and now the Hunger Games at least twice (if not, more).
This morning I just finished the first of the Hunger Games Trilogy, only wishing to keep going and read the second and third, but I am still in school, therefore, I must refrain my crave and complete my what seems unnecessary homework of a memorized spanish skit, and a fake tax return slip.
Anyways, before I can get my mind off the intensity of what I just read, I thought I would blog a big about what I think of the Hunger Games in general.
Katniss is a very smart person with very good reflexes, but she really needs to have some emotion.  She can sometimes be a really big jerk to Peeta, especially when he attempts to help her out.  Like for instance, he says in the last interview before the Games officially start that he has had a crush on her.  It will help them with sponsors emensly, but she gets mad and pushes him into a glass vase and cuts up his hands (they have to be in the arena tomorrow and she hurt him) Not a smart move, Katniss.
I think she is scared.  She can't handle that someone actually likes her.  Gale, her friend from before her claim to fame had something going for her, but she never returned the likeness.  After her father died in a mining accident, she let go of all of her emotions.  I think she doesn't want to get hurt again, which I can see, but poor Peeta!  He has been so kind to her this whole time, and not once has she returned the favor, I mean, if I were Katniss I would be falling head over heels for this boy.
Anyways, I don't want to ruin the excitment if you haven't read the series yet, but I more than highly recommend it.  You won't regret not getting any sleep while you are reading them into the wee hours of the night.  I suggest reading them soon, because the movie comes out March 23, 2012. Which is almost two months.  I promise, if you spend the $30ish on the three books now, you will be able to read them all at least once before the movie, trust me.  I never put them down.  So get out to your local Barns-N-Noble, or got to Amazon.com, and order them.  And plan for some late nights, because you won't be able to sleep, even if you try.
