Karabobeara.

You all know the statement, BFF.  But this girl right here, is actually my BFF.  Yes, she will be my best friend forever.  This is going to be really confusing, but her mom (Debbie) is my uncle (Brad)'s sister.  So, in the long run we are related.
I was born in Provo, Utah.  Yes, I am Mormon, but that can be another post. ANYWAYS. When I was eight months old, I moved to Iowa City so my dad could go to dental school at the University of Iowa.  Kara's grandparents had a house that we rented from them.  We lived in the basement, and rented the upstairs rooms to other college students.  Kara lived two streets down and across the train bridge.  Our parents swapped babysitting us, while the other worked.  It evened out, so neither had to pay for a sitter.  Little did they know that they were creating more than a few play-dates.  We became best friends instantaneously.  We have saved lizard's lives together, jumped the heck out of her trampoline, made movies, and even found "diamonds" in the gravel in the alley behind her house.
In 2001, my father finally finished everything he needed to be a Pediatric Dentist.  We moved a distance of FIVE WHOLE HOURS of a car ride away.  How dare my parents take me away from such a person.
We moved to 3230 Douglas Street.  By then Ellie had arrived, and we were a family of four kids.   I was seven, and going into the first grade.  Time has passed and Kara Rosalie Hartley are still best friends.  We are both juniors in high school, begging time to pass quickly so we can go to college, and possibly be roomies.  Reunited, AT LAST! There is not enough to say about Kara, I wish I could write well, so I could describe how such a good friend she is, but I can't.
Actually, what really made me write this post is that Kara and I are skyping as I write this, and she doesn't know it. (pictures to follow, muahahha)   She is trying to get me to drive down to her this weekend for her brother's wedding.  Which is reasonable, but I probably wont be able to because as you might have noticed, I went to Utah last week, traveling is not the first thing my parents want to do six days after they get home, and I can't blame them.  However, I haven't seen her since the summer.  A visit is WAY over due.  We will see how everything plays out.

This is the only picture I can find of Kara and I when we were little.

Older, please excuse the awkward stages.

Older, again, excuse.

Once, she came to homecoming with me, because I didn't have a date.

Then this other time, we built snow.. figures.

Here is from our Skype-date.

Sorry boys, she's taken..by me. Haha, just kidding.

I wish I had a recent one of us, but we haven't been together for so long, that the ones I have aren't even recent. The only one I have isn't of our faces, but I guess its cool anyways.
